The Butter episode

Last nights episode about Kozmo smearing butter all over himself, Jerry, George and Kramer growing mustaches was one of the best I'e seen in a while. I like 99.9% of the episodes but this one was a hoot.

I thought it was cartoonish, especially the butter shave part. Some of the ep was ok. I did not the Elaine and Puddy storyline, except for the "vegetable lasagna" parts. Newman developing a taste for Kramer was ok. George's storyline was cartoonish with the "rascal" chase but I thought it was the best storyline. The timeslot storyline with Jerry and Bania was a reference, of course, to The Naked Truth,Suddenly Susan,etc. I wondered if Seinfeld would ever make re- ference to all the shows that leech off of it, and this ep answered that question. Oh, I think it was one of the best episodes of the last season. It started the whole "I cannot stand/take this anymore" line, (with the mustaches), which all the characters said throughout the season. Jerry's self-referencing was a bit much,, "the time slot hit; the toothbrush in the toilet bowl," but I still liked it very much. There were some wonderful moments and dialogue:

• Elaine: "So, making time with some floozy across the aisle?"
• Puddy "It's a long flight Elaine, I had to get on with my life."

• The whole Netherlands bit in the bumper. George saying "Damn it."

- George getting chased by the senior citizens after "denting his ride" was fall-down funny!

• Sheena Easton's "Morning Train" as George worked.

• Newman reading "Alive" as Kramer stayed juicy.

• Kramer's line "I read an article in 'Bon Appetite' magazine"

Elaine's credit-closer could be seen a mile away, but the pacing and dialogue were outstanding throughout the episode!
