Syndication butchery and Why we will never see "The Contest"

I have become very aware resently of the heavy editing of the syndicated episodes. They edited out scenes for Comertials and on friday they changed the ending for an episodes. Insead of having Jerry reading "Penthouse Form" they had the long version of Mel singing.

Every episode is a masterpiece and the butchery of the episodes just to add another Car comertial is outragous.

This also leads to the conclusion that they will never release The Contest in syndiaction. Seinfeld is a 9:00 show and I find it hard to belive that they will have the guts to air The Conest in a 5:30 time slot for example.

I think we will eventually see The Contest but perhaps in an edited version. Already shown in syndication are episodes which could be considered as sensitive as The Contest which include the one where Elaine admits faking orgasms and she and Jerry "have sex to save the friendship", the one were Jerry and George are thought to have a gay relationship and the one where George has "sex with the cleaning woman" in his office.

By the way, the episodes shown in syndication in Canada may be different or shown in a different order than the ones shown here. Some posts from Canada have stated that they have seen episodes that have not been syndicated yet in the US, including The Contest.

I live in Toronto and I can confirm this. I've seen The Contest on numerous occasions already (at the point wher I actually changed channels because I've seen it so often(!))

Right idea, wrong company. The syndication is done by Sony. They happen to be on Fox stations in some cities, but other stations in other cities.
