more on the naked woman

I submit that there is a blatant inconsistency in "The Contest" which cannot be resolved. Notice

1. Kramer somehow sees the naked woman from some location other than Jerry's apartment. 2. Kramer subsequently watches the naked woman from Jerry's apartment while Jerry is still in the contest.

Now, since Jerry is highly agitated, and having Kramer there watching the naked
woman is only making him more agitated, it would seem that Jerry wouldn't allow
Kramer to watch from his window unless Kramer had no other means of seeing her.
 So we have good reason to think that Kramer cannot see her from his own
apartment.
   Nevertheless, Kramer did somehow initially see her.
   I contend that this inconsistency cannot be resolved without positing very
bizarre circumstances.
   But, I also think that such an inconsistency is very forgivable.  There are
inevitably inconsistencies in fiction, but as long as they don't distract us I
think that's fine.  "The Contest" is one of the best half hours of television
in the history of the medium.  I can live with this inconsistancy.

there is no inconsistency. the view from kramer's apt is much worse than from jerry's (he probably has to crane his neck). and jerry lets kramer get away with alot (possibly because they are friends!!!)

isn't it possible that Kramer got a glimpse of the woman from the street and came up to Jerry's apartment to get a better view? a much simpler explanation than the complicated apartment plans that we've been seeing. --- later, sunil

There is no inconsistency here if you watch the show carefully. I say that Kramer saw the the woman from Jerry's apartment while Jerry was out. After all, Kramer is there more than Jerry is, or so it would seem.
