I give the season priemier of Seinfeld, a B+, for the return of old characters like Jerry's former girlfriend, the comic who copied Jerry, and the return of Newman, and the return of the song by Sheena Easton in the scene where George goes to work, Elaine's final scene in the cab, and of course, for the part about Krammer's obsession with butter & what happens to him because of it. Also, because it was nice that at the end of the episode it included a thank you rememberance of Brandon Tartikoff who was the executive at NBC, who put Seinfeld on the air. I would give it a B- Worth watching but the Elaine scenes and that vegetable lasagne stuff was dumb.

Like most Seinfeld shows, I bet if you watch it again you would laugh more the second time around. Agreed it was below par, but some of it was funny. When after the show Kraemer says how good Jerry's show was, refering to the cancer bit, where a heckler says he really has cancer, Kraemer says "laughter is the best medicine" that was funny. George racing the elderly on his scooter was funny also.

I voted. Gave the show a D. :o(

She's also doing that thing when a show gets old and the character or characters start dressing up all the time. She's always done up in glamour makeup now. You see the same thing in HAPPY DAYS. In the early show and through most of the run, Richard's mom was dressed like a housewife. Towards the end of the show's run, she was always dressed like she was going out. I think this happens when a show gets old and the actors start dressing to impress other producers.

I give it a C-. I expected more.

I didn't think that this episode was up to par especially for a season
premiere.  The only thing that I did find was funny was the scene where the
senior citizens in scooters were chasing "George" on his...typical of
Seinfeld zaniness.   I thought the scenes with "Elaine" and her boyfriend
were also not funny and bordered on being sort of mean.  The only thing
that saved them was the actor who sat by the window who played "vegetable
lasagna" and he seemed to have real comedic talent.   For some reason, I
just don't find the "David Puddy" character funny and even less so this
past episode.  It just doesn't seem his character mixes with "Elaine's."

I thought I was watching ER live "The tale of a sitcom's dying last wish"
