"CONTEST" winner revealed; READ THIS!

The following exchange between Jerry and Larry David should help clear this controversy up once and for all:

Well, if George tied, he could still say he "won." (He tied for FIRST!) Kinda like when college football has two co-champions because of split results in the Coaches Poll and the AP Poll.

But...think about this for a minute...how could they tie? That would mean that both of them have refrained from masturbating for the last THREE YEARS!!! There was no time limit on the contest! Knowing Jerry and (especially) George, this would seem to be impossible. Also, the final scene shows both Jerry and George sleeping peacefully after presumably "doing the deed." They would have had to masturbate at PRECISELY THE SAME TIME in order to tie. Not bloody likely!

I STILL believe that the key clue is that, after Marla the virgin leaves Jerry in an aroused state, he shrugs his shoulders and goes to sit happily by the window, waiting for the naked woman to make her appearance. I insist that this is a visual clue that he cracks. I mean, what do you want him to do to make this clear, take it out? :-)

Well, the thing about this is why would George lie to people that have no connection whatsoever to Jerry, Elaine and Kramer. He just hints at a "contest" and gives it no further attention. The photographers/producers don't know what the contest was about, so why would our mischievious George Costanza lie to them?
