Larry David and the Contest

The Palm Beach Post ran an big interview (may have been off the AP wire) about Larry David. You may know this, but the idea from the Contest was actually something he and his friends did to see who was Master of their dominan. Larry won. He said that when Jerry asked him to write the pilot, he thought it was just a one time deal. Then when NBC ordered four more episodes, he was a little worried, but still thought the show would be killed. When NBC ordered the next group of shows, LD freaked because he said he thought he had used up all his personal life experiences to make the first five shows and didn't know where he was going to get more material.
