Viewers discuss the joke about Elaine telling the Sidler "this is your lucky day" after learning his preferred gum comes from an old Mickey Mouse machine that Jerry's toy-collecting girlfriend owns.
On tonight's episode Elaine takes the Sidler into a room at work in an effort to get him to stop using tic tacs. Several attempts at persuasion fail, and then she says, with a big smile, 'WELL, I GUESS THIS IS YOUR LUCK DAY!'
I don't get it!!! Can someone please explain?

I beleive Elaine said "This is your lucky day" because the Sidler told her that the only gum he liked came in a Mickey Mouse machine that the company stopped making 25 years ago. Thinking of Jerry's girlfriend and all of her old inherited toys she thought she could find the gum and trade it for the tic tacs.

The Sidler mentioned that the only gum he ever liked was the kind they used to have in Mickey Mouse gumball machines. But they don't make them anymore. But the woman Jerry is dating has one in her toy collection apparently. That's why Elaine said, "This is your lucky day." Then later you see them both having dinner at the woman's apartment.

Elaine tried to get him to chew gum instead eating tic tacs for his breath. He said the only gum that he liked was from the Mickey Mouse Gumball Machine and they haven't made that in 20 years.
