The New Season Show

Well, I can see from the postings that not all were happy with the opener, and practically everyone says it wasn't a classic and I agree with that. However it still made me laugh ten times more than any other sitcom and that means for me it is still the best and is still managing to be relatively fresh to itself.

I must admit, that Elaine seems to be stuck in planes a lot for some reason, and I thought her plot line felt too familiar, that we were seeing her in a similar situation as before.....so it didn't do much for me, plus she is looking more and more ANGRY and pissed off, rather than just frustrated which means that the comedy goes a bit and the character loses our sympathy.

George's plot was familiar but the disabled angle made it fresh....and I thought the Kramer and Newman plot was a good idea that didn't completely satisfy in its execution or delivery, I was left wanting more from it...

Still, I enjoyed it and am thankful that it is back.

Watching the reruns from a few years back and then watching the season premier, IMO the show has lost a little something. With the older shows, everything seemed to flow perfectly. The situations and the different plot lines worked so nicely together and were woven together so seamlessly, and the events were so wild that the show didn't even need jokes because the concept itself was funny on it's own, although the jokes themselves were hysterical. It was like a symphony, a symphony of comedy! The last two seasons it's seemed like they just throw together some zany scenes together with out much thought. On the other hand, Kramer's head on a turkey was hilarious, as was the whole thing with George, especially when during the musical scene when he trips that guy with his cane and the guy just laughs along, like "what a card, that George!" And after watching the very boring "Veronica's Closet" afterwards, I believe that even the most subpar Seinfeld episode ever is still loads funnier than anything else on. That's my 2 cents.

I read this comment a lot, but with the level of most other sitcoms, that's not saying much. Being better than anything else on television wouldn't seem to be that much of an accomplishment. Being on par with the old "classic" Seinfeld episodes, now that's more of a challenge. And IMHO, the writers just haven't been able to do that since last season. I hope it gets better.

Any true fan of the Sein caught the funny humor in the season premeire.  I
 think it was better then most of last year, still not as good as the earlier
 season, but hey, that's tough to do.
  One hilarious classic Seinfeld line came and went, without laughter from the
 audiance, while I was on the ground.

That was great.  The whole time-slot plot was hysterical, and very symbolic of
 how these fluff shows like Veronicas Closet use Seinfeld to get ratings.  And
 the "closet-Banya" fan was great.  Plus George at the Playground, was super.
   I like others, was unimpressed with Elaine and the plane, although I laughed
 when she continued to call that guy "Vegetable Lasangna" right in front of
 her.  And when the face-painter says "Let's make out"  I laugh as well.
   All in all, a good start to the season
