No, he sold all sorts of religious icons _IN_ Korea. Remember his ex-girlfriend from Korea that he ran across in the episode where Elaine thinks her manicurist is talking bad about her in Korean... Same episode where they do the whole Tonya Harding parody with Bette Midler.
And he was a cook in the Korean War... did he just stick around when the war was over or what?
