Elaine in the Gym

Watching this week's episode, I noticed that in almost all the shots of Elaine in the fitness club she was covering her chest and appeared to be very self-conscious. But in other episodes she hasn't really displayed this modesty. A new twist to her character?

       I really don't see the resemblence to Elaine and Miss America, but
   at least she didn't let the sweaty-germ-freak get the goods on George.
   I would've liked to have seen a confrontation where George tells the
   manager on the sweat-guy before the sweat-guy ratted out George. HA
       also, Elaine did look great in that leotard though.

I didn't notice that... there hasn't really been too many episodes where she glorifies her chest or is in scenes where they are obviously showing through her clothing. The only ones that come to mind are the fake breasts episode (where she is shown in her workout outfit and in the sauna - "It's like a sauna in here!") and the one where Jerry and George insult her by saying that she can't attract attention with her breasts, and then she goes into Pfeiffer's with that black low-cut dress - which surprised me as well - and consequentally gets Russell Dalrymple (sp) obsessed with her.

Unless you consider the episode where her nipple could be seen with a freeze-frame on the VCR in, I think, the first season. This shot was published in a national girly mag, and almost certainly inspired the "Christmas Card Nipple" episode.
