Actually, quite the opposite; my roommates decided to embark on our own contest (with lesser stakes, of course), and after 9 days, I am still Lord of the Manor. The trick is not to spend too much time alone. :)

Fans discuss their own masturbation contests inspired by the episode, debating whether abstinence is achievable and making jokes about the behavior.

anyone who has to beat off EVER is a complete dork and deserves to "be alone".
There are two types of men in the world
Those who masterbate, and those who lie.
I think we know which you are.... :)

don't you just HATE it when people assume everybody does something just because THEY do it??? (smiley faces are gay)
Yeah, like listen to "groovy hipster college alternate garage" music....
God, remember the episode where Jerry didn't want the rock band practicing...

You guys must be real sorry individuals if you need to 'lessen' the stakes. You had to lessen the stakes because you know that you are pud-pounding no lifes. That show was supposed to be comedy, and I can't believe anyone took that crap seriously. Well, Mr Lord of you Manor, the trick is not avoiding time alone.....it's having a life in the first place.
By the way, anyone who ends their post with :) is a faggot. Have a nice day.
By the tone of your nasty little post, Mr. SENOR FUERTE, one would think you have a LITTLE too much tension on your end. Try to resolve that, hmm? And remember, this is a nice newsgroup, not a gathering for name-calling, as UNCREATIVE as the names may be. Try to have a better day.
On the contrary, there is no tension on this end at all. That brings my point... Loosen up and don't take everything at face value (i.e. not EVERYONE has the problem of being 'Lord of his manor' like our feeble little friend).
Have a peachy swell day full of love and peace....
The reason that the episode was so funny is that there must be some truth to it. Remember the 90%/10% rule. Pointless name-calling just makes you look stupid. If you need to knock other people down to make yourself feel better, maybe there's something wrong with you. That's something third graders do, not college students (well, not MOST college students).
Andy.
Maybe Senior Fuerte needs to try it himself????
blah, blah blah........ then...
I have no real interest in this stupid conversation that people have been wasting time with, but could not help but wonder....
Is Mr. SENOR FUERTE going to accuse us all of wearing his socks next? (Yah, we saw them while you were sleeping and...)

Andy "Master" Bates?

Would that be Master Bates?
hi, everybody. just a few notes on some recent articles:
gee, i didn't think this much tension and guilt could be crammed into just one sentence :-) (relax, jay, it's ok. and you won't go blind, either. they fooled you, man.)
but, i gotta hand (!) it to jay, he knows human sexuality:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ don't you just HATE it when people assume they can tell sexual orientation by the smilies in one's post?
but there's more on the subject from another expert, our own SENOR FUERTE, who -- after flaming Alan Bates for _not_ masturbating (go figure!) -- produces the following gem:

ooooh-kay. what if i'm a girl? what if i end with a :-P ? obviously, that means i'm a swedish transvestite with a foot fetish.
anca coming out of the closet :-)
