Bette Midler?

I am sorry Bette Midler but you suck. I still can figure out why you are on stage all the time. Does anyone like her? Can anyone explain the fame she has acheived? She is no icon of comedy. Retire you you you fatso.. She has this inside track in Hollywood that I can't understand. Oh when she was in "GetShorty", I almost puked. She got undressed. I couldn't believe it. As for Seinfeld, she should stay well enough away. I don't want to have to avoid anymore show's... Somebody, explain to me what is so great about her, please!

What's the problem with you? Bette is a great actress, and she can sing too! plain and simple.

What is so great about her? Talent, mainly. Fabulous singing voice, terrific dramatic acting abilities as well as wonderful comedic timing, and just an overall commanding "presence" that many performers wish they could emulate. She has always had guts, and whereas some performers (eg. Madonna) come off as offensive when they tell the world to go to hell, Bette is just plain charming. The fact that she doesn't feel she has to starve herself to live up to media-dictated body standards only adds to her likability, and personally, I think she looks fantastic.

She doesn't suck. Maybe you don't like her style of music, maybe you don't like redheads, I don't know. Learn to acknowledge talent when it presents itself whether it suits your tastes or not.
