Fans help locate a scene of Kramer doing a kidnapper impression about doing laundry, identified as being from the opening of The Contest.
I wonder if anyone can help me locate this scene? It's a conversation between Kramer and Jerry (I think) about whether or not kidnappers would let you do a laundry while they were holding you captive. Kramer does a quick impression of a kidnapper, saying something like "You - get your whites, your coloureds, your natural fabrics. We're doing a wash."
I have been wracking my brains, but I can't remember which episode this is in. Can anyone put me out of my misery...pleeeeease?

It's the opening dialogue from "The Contest", just before George enters with some unsettling news...

This is strictly off the top of my head, but I believe it's a scene which starts with Jerry and Elaine (in the coffee shop) having the conversation about being held captive. Kramer enters and joins in. When George arrives, the conversation shifts....he tells his pals about his mother "catching" him. Yes, this is the first scene of "The Contest." (if memory serves.)

what is the running time of "The Contest" and other shows ? i ask because I am sure they cut them down for consumption here in Europe (25 mins + 5 mins ads = 30 mins). I saw the contest and didn't see that scene or the scene with George sitting on the pan.

this is very important to know when you need to get to a certain episode on a tape! i think i fit about 11 per tape +-1
