...and, with permission from Kramer, allow me to add:
Seinfeld is a classic television show too. Next thing you'll say is that Seinfeld has to have its own TV medium! Ah but I won't call you anti-Seinfeldite: you have the right to like Lucy (although I personnally never liked its conducive title and, to me, the show was too loud - right there with Charlie Chapelin - pun intended) but remember, folks who were born the year The Contest aired are far from babies now (except metaphorically, hopefully for their sake) so to me that doesn't make the term "modern" stick to Seinfeld. I donno, call me names, but that show is beyond the bounderies of any particular era. It's hard to explain you know, but unlike so many TV shows of any decade you may pick, Seinfeld is not "attached" to its epoch... just an opinion.
And, please don't take this the wrong way: don't sound like that virgin: The Contest deserves a vote; it is great comedy!

I'm kinda partial to the scene where George is recounting his adventure as a marine biologist ("The sea was angry that day, my friends"). The look on Kramer's face when George produced the golf ball was priceless.

Yes! That was hilarious! It's probably a better example since that scene includes the whole cast. For the record, THE MARINE BIOLOGIST is among my top ten faves.
