A few thoughts on "The Strongbox"

Kramer kept his military discharge papers in the strongbox. I think this was the first ever reference to Kramer's military career. For anyone who's been there, how long do you have to be in the Army to require a discharge? A day? A week? Does anyone know?

Jerry threw the candy bar to Elaine, she mentioned it fell in the sewer. George walks in eating the candy bar ala the eclair from the garbage can. Elaine's eating the bear claw (Newman?) from the garbage was similar.

Jerry's 'Green Lantern' retorts in the coffee shop when he finds out Elaine's new boyfriend is poor were one of the highlights.

Jerry digging up Fredo was funny too. I could almost see hole that fragile Frankie Merman dug up a few weeks earlier.

(Here's a didja know. The set they use to film the park sequences is the same set that Gilligan's Island was filmed on.)

I knew the box would turn out to be unlocked at the end, but it didn't sour the p[ayoff in the least.

Another "A" from ratboy1.....What a huge surprise! <sarcasm> You do realize that "A" is the highest possible grade right? (besides A+ that is) If "The Strongbox" grades an "A", then what were your grades for episodes such as "The Soup Nazi" and "The Contest"?? Putting "The Strongbox" in the same category as those episodes would be like saying that Kathy Kinney (Mimi on Drew Carey) is as good looking as Claudia Schiffer or Cindy Crawford.

Well, obviously The Soup Nazi and The Contest would get a full blown A+! Plus if I'm not mistaken ratboy gave The Cartoon a B+ Plus The Strong Box was definately the best of the season and there has been a serious upgrade in quality in the final ten episodes. I would give The Strong Box an A too, it was really good, classic nothing.

If your a real Seinfeld fan, like ratboy1 is, then what's the problem with liking every Seinfeld episode. I like mostly all the Seinfeld episodes (except for The Butter Shave, The Dog, and The Heart Attack) and almost every REAL Seinfeld fan likes almost every episode.

I said EVERY episode, not almost every episode. There's nothing wrong with liking every episode, if it's the truth. The problem is that he's not being honest. He already admitted to me that he didn't like some the of the early episodes and that he's afraid to admit it here in this newsgroup. I'd be willing to bet that deep down inside he feels the same way about some of the newer episodes. Like Mike Moffat might say.....he's a phony.

Not true. What I said was that the earlier episodes didn't appeal to me as much at the time, because there was no characterization. Who is this Kessler guy? It doesn't seem funny to me. Well, a few years goes by, I watch another 40 or 50 great episodes, then they show the old ones in syndication. Guess what? They're great! For some reason this OJ character has it in for me. Why he's pissed that I love Seinfeld is beyond me. Maybe he's right. Deep down inside I'm a phony. I'm faking it right here in this newsgroup. Those last few thousand posts from me? Ignore 'em. I'm just setting up a smoke screen or something. That FAQ I co-wrote? Forget about it. Why would I care about this show?
