THE BUTTON:Larry David Cameo

Anyone notice in last night's airing of "The Button", there was a MAJOR Larry David cameo?

Just before the end, when George has agreed to wear medieval king's robes to promote Kramer's theater, he stops off at a newsstand to buy a pack of chewing gum.

The newsstand owner - none other than Larry David - makes a comment to the effect:

"Sorry, your majesty, we don't accept $20 bills with lipstick on the President"

leading George to realize that he wasn't ripped off by the cashier at Monk's after all.

I'm aware Larry's done several cameos, but don't recall any where we see his face and hear his voice at the same time (Right, Mr. Steinbrenner?)

The Seinfeld show is a work of great genius, and the combined hard work and creative talent of many people. Larry is the driving force behind the show, and as his George would say,

Larry, we thank God we have access to your dimentia.

We also see him as Frank Costanza's lawyer in 'The Chinese Woman' and as a Greenpeace protester in the liferaft, in 'The Pilot'

Apparently he has done a variety of voices besides that of Steinbrenner. Can anyone list some of them?

Actually, the episode was called "The Gum". Otherwise, you are completely on the money when you say that Larry David is the driving force behind the show. This is very true. Besides Jerry, the other characters, how they behave on the show, are from his mind. Yes, they are based on real-life people, but the antics and behaviors of the tv show characters are evidence of his Larry's genius.

As far as other cameo appearances, he was Frank Costanza's lawer, who wore the cape. I'm sure there are others that I can't recall right now.
