Fredo was also the name of the middle brother in "The Godfather" that was murdered by orders of Michael in "The Godfather Part II."
Any thoughts on whether this was just coincidence? Or was there some tie-in that I missed???

no coincdence...I have read a couple of posts outline dialogue directly lifted
