i just saw the first ep of season 9 "the butter shave " for the first time and i was quite shocked. the whole SF magic was gone. all the ppl seem to act out a given script. now, of course there's such a thing as a script, but in the previous seasons you didn't notice it. it just felt like that could /in fact DID happen. most of the jokes were not funny at all, really. and this whole kramer getting baked story is a bit TOO awkward , even for kramer.

Or "*rare* (unique?) opinion". I've never heard anyone else express that view. Mostly I've heard people plump for seasons 3-5. I'd probably go for 4.
