Dammit, this is really starting to piss me off!

My web site (Beavis and Butt-head's Couch) was suspended for 72 hours due to copyright violations and my account may even be cancelled. IT SUCKS!

You might have noticed the deterioration of Beavis and Butt-head on the net. If you go to Chad's Realm: Beavis and Butt-head THE LIST you'll notice that many of the sites have expired. Beavis and Butt-head sites have been asked to take off material because of MTV copyright policies. It's bullshit!

I mean look at Comedy Central and South Park... they aren't making a big deal about the amount of web sites PROMOTING their show. If MTV just keep on trying to monopolise the market then people like me, and hundreds of others, lose a lot of hard work. WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING GODAMMIT!

dammit...this really sucks. It's just a lawyer thing. MTV is not gonna lose any money by someone having a BnB webpage up. They WILL lose money, however, when their attorney's locate another webpage, send a threatening letter to the author, then send a bill to MTV for the effort. Fartknockers!

Are you trying to say that everything related to BnB (video tapes, stuff on MTV's
web site, etc.) except for this group, is controlled by MTV and only they can put
up a site with BnB???   Now, that would sure as hell suck.   How could M. Judge
give them all the copy rights?!!   Do they ever expire?   If not then they should
at least make a page that doesn't suck!   Damn, I'm pisssed now.

Comdey Central did the same, re: southpark sites, and now most of the good files have been moved to Australian sites.

that's the deal he signed when he started with MTV.... i think he renegotiated a few years later, but MTV holds most of the strings hwen it comes (eheh) to the legal thing.

usually 50 years after the copyright owner's death, but some companies buy the rights aand then renew them every few years.
