I agree. When I first heard the song I had to double-check the album cover. Maybe the Beastie Boys collaborated with Anthrax on this song but Anthrax got all the credit. Or maybe Anthrax just keeps getting funkier and funkier (remember that song and video they did with Public Enemy?). Anyway, I noticed something else peculiar about the B&B album: in Megadeth's video for "99 Ways to Die" they keep flashing up words (words suck!)...and the worst part is that they're trying to brainwash us with their anti-guns propoganda ("This means something."). Don't you think that if B&B saw this video they would say something like:
BH: I hate words! Huh Huh Beavis: Yeah! Heh Heh Hm If I wanted to read I'd go to school! Heh Heh BH: Normally this video would be pretty cool but here it just falls flat. Huh Huh Huh

I thought exactly the same thing. It sounds a lot like something that the Beasties would have done on "Check Your Head," mostly because of the voice-distortion and heavy drumbeat. However, coming from the thrash band that teamed up with Public Enemy, I don't find such a style departure unusual, and I like the song.

Yeah.. I felt the exact same way... The vocals do.. but Anthrax's music is better... The B&B CD rules though! I really like everything but the rap on it....

The reason it sounds the same is because the Beastie Boys got a lot of there sound from early Anthrax recordings. Anthrax was one of the first bands into the metal-rap genre. Check out the tune I'm the Man.
Maybe that has something to do with the fact that the song was orginally played by the Beastie Boys and by the way if you do listen a little closer you will notice that it does sound like Anthrax listen to the orginall version of I'm the Man for awhile and then you'll get what I'm saying

Well, it is an old Beastie Boys song... But it IS Anthrax performing it... it just has that "only the Beastie Boys can get it" distortion...
