Have you ever noticed that a lot of the stupid things we do in real life kind of resemble something that Beavis and Butt-Head might do? To elaborate, allow me to share a moment of my life that seemed like it was taken straight from Mike Judge's mind:

About six months ago, I was trapped into going to my aunt and uncle's 25th anniversary party. It was one of those things where you eat 300 different kinds of jello and pretend to be civil around a bunch of stupid people you don't even know.

Anyway, my cousin had one of his friends there, and the three of us were sitting at a table together thinking how much the whole thing sucked, and then my cousin pulled one of the ribbons from a table decoration and held it over a candle on the table and started burning it. Then we started burning everything we could find -- plastic forks, strings from balloons, a crumb of cake, a piece we tore off the cheap paper tablecloth, etc.

Then my aunt saw us and got pissed off and told us to stop it, so we went outside and played baseball with those wads of dead grass that get all stuck together when you mow the lawn, and we got it all over a bunch of shiny cars that looked like they'd just been washed. It was cool.

Then we were bored, and you know how those things last forever, so we got into my cousin's car and drove back to his house. They'd had a party there earlier in the day, and there were a bunch of cans of soda still lying in a tub full of ice in the backyard. (No hard stuff, though.)

So my cousin picked up a can of pop and shook it up real hard and opened it and it sprayed all over, which started giving us all a ton of great ideas. So we just started shaking up the pop and throwing it, and then one of us got the idea to throw lawn darts at the shaken-up cans, and we did that for awhile. Then we searched the garage to find stuff to do with the pop, and my cousin found his BB gun and shot a few cans. I wanted to crush one in the vice, but he said his dad would get really pissed.

And THEN we found the water-balloon launcher. You know, one of those things that's kind of like a slingshot without a handle, only it works best if you use two (or even three) people to launch it? So we shook up another can, and my cousin and each held an end of the launcher while his friend put the pop can in it and stretched it back as far as he could and let go, and that can sailed clear into the vacant lot next door. So then we show a couple more, aiming them at trees. You should've seen them hit -- it was awesome!

And that was the day of my life that most resembled Beavis and Butt-Head. Anyone else care to share their own?

Huh huh Yeah.. but did you spank your monkey????

Sounds like that time I was in my comp sci class. I was reading Usenet in class, and some guy was talking about this jerk that posted stuff, and I said "yeah, yeah, it's some damn foriegner!" just as my Indian prof walks by. Not very cool.
