Heard something disturbing on the radio this morning. Apparently, MTV is getting scared and is removing all references of fire from Beavis and Butthead. This is getting out of fu..ing control. Hel-LO people. Get a clue. Its just a cartoon. Jesus Christ, Wille E. Coyote and the Road Runner along with the rest of the Looney Toons bunch, have been blowing up themselves for years. Thank God my parents watched me to make sure I didn't jump off any cliffs after watching that wacky coyote do it.
People in America raise fits about the stupidist things. MTV should pull the 7:30 show, leave the 11:00 show after all the little fire happy babies go to bed and leave Beavis and Butthead on for the mature adult crowd who know how to handle the situation and content they show. Now, I haven't been watching as faithfully as I used to, but last night, I noticed that they have a new disclaimer. I don't know the exact wording, but basically it said, "if you try this at home, you may get heard, killed, and/or arrested." Isn't this enough.
Where can I (we) start writing letters too. Lets stop worrying about Beavis and Butthead and MTV, instead lets focus our energy to more important issues like world hunger and helping the homeless. Which might I add, Beavis and Butthead have never made fun of.
