I watched the "Scared Straight" episode under very interesting circumstances. I had access to a new, experimental HDTV. The resolution was incredible. I could CLEARLY make out the writing beneath the B&B photos in the yearbook:

Butthead had "Yes, these are braces." Beavis had "Heat of the Beat."

Well I watched it on a prototype SV-HDTV (should hit the market in about a quarter century) and Beavis' caption CLEARLY said "heat of the meat".

Well, Doug, I keyed up my cd-rom recorder (HD compatible) and checked again. Yes, you are 100% correct, he did say Meat. With an "M".

I guess this one has been solved - finally.
