Did anyone catch the story of Vanilla Ice on VH-1? It was a very interesting story about how he was a high school dropout who played at clubs. he later became successful,but then he fell. He used drugs and tried to kill himself,but he recovered and is now continuing to rap in nightclubs across the country. He even has a new album.
It is an inspiriong dstory for us all.

Micheal explain why this was inspirational? Shouldn't an inspirational story be about someone through no fault of their own get into a situation where they have to overcome great odds and succeed? With Ice its nothing more then a story of redemption where he got himself into a bad situation and overcame it.
Lets face it Ice chose to drop out of high school, chose to take drugs, placed himself in a situation where he thought about suicide (unless he suffers from depression in which case it wouldn't be his fault). Although it seems more like the conditions in which he placed himself had more to do with it then clinical depression.
I know i am coming across as cold but there are real inspirational stories around. This is not one of them.

Of course the shit was inspirational. He went through a gang of fucking drama and survived. Don't even take in account that he lied and this and that bullshit. That doesn't even matter. Whats inspirational about it is that he was knocked down a shit load of times (yeah I know it was his fault) and came out alive. I don't care for him now either, but damn I give him props. He was (and still is) known as a fucking joke. A worthless piece of shit. And he's still trying to be in the game. That takes balls. And for someone to do something hella ballsy, is inspirational.
