Well this is somewhat of an apology to Cheesy, as the movie "plot" will be that the boys' TV is stolen and the head off to Vegas to find it. There is no mention of a guy who wants the boys to do his wife for him for 10 grand. So Cheesy was half right. Sorry for raggin' on you dude.
Commercials are really running heavy on MTV, the best (and newest) is the one where Mike J is trying to tell the boys how to act in the movie. Of course Butt-Head screws this up. This and other new ones premiered during Friday's (11/29) Moronathon.
I have been told by a reliable source that there will be a "Making Of" show that will begin airing on MTV about a week before the movie opens. MTV news will be doing a segment on the movie on "The Week In Rock" this Friday, with repeats on Saturday and Sunday.
As reported in this newsgroup, Beavis and Butt-Head will be on The David Letterman Show on 12/13. It's interesting that the guests are listed as "cartoon stars Beavis & Butt-head" and not Mike Judge. Mike J has been on the show twice that I know of, both times were fairly short segments (about 5 min), and the first time Mike was on he showed the now famous B&B as Dave and Paul segment. I know that Dave is a B&B fan, I wonder how they are going to do this?
"Entertainment Weekly" magazine reported that the movie cost about $12 million to make, so it should be a financial success even if it bombs horribly like "Joe's Apartment" did. I don't think it will bomb, but I doubt the critics will like it much.
Finally, for those of you who don't know, there is the obligatory movie web site at www.beavis-butthead.com. It looks like new locations that the boys visit in the movie get added weekly. Right now you can only visit Highland, but Vegas and D.C. are on the map.
