You are not alone. The statement that the files work with 2000 but not with 98 is wrong. I've tried on: Win98, ME, 2000 and (argh) Linux... The files ar busted. End of story.

Btw, there are some stupid sites with some advices how to convert ASF files into something else but my concern is that you have to have working (ASF-playing) station in order to perform such a conversion.

If someone has a machine that these asf's will work on, why don't they be totally cool and convert the files to mpeg, avi, or rm so that everyone can enjoy them? It's not that hard.

I looked into how to do it, and http://www.vcdhelper.com/tmpgenc.htm looks like the best site for assistance. TMPGEnc can be found at http://www.tmpgenc.com/. I'd do all of this myself but I'm running Win98 and it just won't work on my machine.
