Now i'm gonna cry over the way it was back in the day, before AOL had an "Internet" button and I had to actually use UUCP and a QWK packaging program and download newsgroups at 2400 baud, instead of just grabbing some god damn windows application and just browsing and posting without having to do any real work.

Ahhh..and the coolest thing in the world was the almighty Usenet Oracle who first introduced me to Yahoo! at it's infancy on http://www.stanford.edu/yahoo (hey this link hasn't worked in at least ten years). On the subject of poop, you can email [email] subject: tellme body: whatever, ask the Oracle a poop question, and maybe you'll make it into the weekly archive.

That was back when people were stupid, and they didn't have cool words like buttmunch and dillhole.

My first online experience was in the early 80's...using a Commodore Vic20 with a 300 baud modem (still have it all too). No internet available to general public then...all I had was dial-up access to local community college (to do homework), a few local bulletin boards and a cheapo subscription to Compuserve. No email was offered then. Looking back, it sucked....but as it was all new then, it ruled at the time.
