Now look, it was a uuencoded file which to my mind is a binary as it is not readable by normal means-- one must use a uu-unencoder or a reasonably aware newsreader. If you want to get techincal, then all posts are binary, since they are encoded with bits. Binary files which ASCII encoded are the standard means of transmission here, so get with the program. There was no need to uuencode that file. And besides that, it sucked by all standards known to man, and by the time I got my uuencoder going I felt completely cheated.
