Fire! Fire! Fire!

MTV didn't get to all the references of fire--I saw tornado tonight and Beavis said that some video wouldn't be cool even if there was fire in it. Not the best fire line, but at least it was A fire line.

Did you hear about the teenager (16,17,18?) who dropped the bowling ball off the higway overpass onto a passing car below. This happened about 2 months ago? Why did he do it? Beavis and Butthead did. Of course this has been going on for years. People can't take responsibility for themselves so we pay. That stupid kid shouldn't have been allowed near matches. It's not my fault he got them, it's not your fault he got them, it's not Mtvs fault he got them. It's his parents fault he got them. If that fire was caused by Beavis saying "Fire Fire Fire", then what do the real fires, plane crashes, dead people, riotsetc.. on the evening news cause. --- Marty

Actually, B&B got off the hook for that one. News agencies started associating the incident with "Ball Breakers" before any other details came out. Then they found out the guy didn't have cable, never really saw B&B, and said it had nothing to do with B&B.

Still, it's ridiculous this gets pinned on B&B as a knee jerk response from the media. I guess it was because it was very soon after the kid in Ohio. "Fire, fire, fire, fire..." There was a brief but interesting article in the Rolling Stone from a few months back with comments on the subject of this thread. I think it was the last Rolling Stone with B&B on the cover (Butt-Head in the yellow suit). If anyone wants the precise date or anything let me know.
