This group is better than SP

I just visited the SP group for the first time. It sucks! I have heard people talking about the decline of this newsgroup but it is a hell of a lot better than that crappy site. First it took like ten minutes to show all the articles. Then, there were all these stupid hate filled articles with people just acting like assholes and not even discussing the show or anything. This group is better because people here are real fans. Not just dorks that happen to have seen an episode or two. (We are dorks that have seen lots of episodes.) Now, if we could only stop the endless gay discussions.....

I also read that newsgroup (but I'm about ready to quit) and it _really does_ kinda suck. Too many lame-o posts. The same question is asked dozens of times and each is answered 30 times or more.

I think it just needs to mature...eventually all the buttmunches will lose interest and go away, leaving only the true dedicated fans. Then it may be cool.

Just wondering if alt.tv.beavis-n-butthead started out that way in the first year?...the 'Great Cornholio' dude who just posted lately, talking about how this group has changed, mentioned that they used to get massive spams here in the past...

<Question to the alumni here...> Did _this_ NG suck at first? (ie: too many repeat posts...too many stupid posts...answers repeated over and over...?)
