Reporting Spammers Address??

Do you guys have an e-mail address or something so that I can report spammers in a newsgroup (alt.tv.liquid-tv)? I appreciate it. If I report enough people, will they ever go away like in here? You guys said that a while back, this ng was full w/ spammers, how did you get it to be like how it is now? Thanks, Wallace

The alt.tv groups get it a lot but(t) new groups get it BAD.

In this group, we have a dedicated backbone of ass-kickers who daily play out their roles (whoa! Roleplay! fore...) in the war against spam. Recent examples include mr Anthony Nipples IV and before that, way back in the mists of DejaNews there were the Haavaads.

BTW, who created this group anyway?

BTW.. there's a great anti-spamming site, called E-Scrub, and they provided this URL below, and if you put it in your web pages and you newsgrope posts eheh post eheh , then it will give spammers bots a ton of false addresses and will hopefully keep their databases busy with tons o'false addresses :)

try http://www.cauce.org   for right now -- it's a good start with links to
sites similar and also there are software packages that send the spammer
(through a process of address ID, ISP# & Node, and time/date/msg stamp) a
retort that you choose from a menu -- OR you write your own.   It rocks!
That software is called, "SpamHater" and was listed in PCWorld Magazine a few
months ago.

The way we got it like it is now? Sheesh! It took persistent reporting to abuse@....com or postmaster@....com, etc. AND it took ALL of us to decide to try and rid the group of clutter.

Just my experience here after 4 1/2 years... :D

I created a group called NASS to deal with spam, but it died due to lack of interest. I still have the methods file though that tells you how to report spam. It's not automatic though, it requires a bit of work. If interested I can email the files.
