Yesterday, on one of Sweden's national news programs, they talked about the violence in todays kids programs on TV. The reason for discussing it: a week ago or so, two boys killed a six year old girl (?) in Norway (our neighbouring country). And just a few days ago, one boy kicked another boy (both 7 or 8 years old) until his leg was broken. They wanted to play karate and was carried away...
Anyway, during this they showed Beavis and Butthead!!!!!!!!
What the heck? In Sweden BnB is broadcasted at 22:30, 23:00 (that's 11 PM) and 02:00 (that's 2 AM)!!! If the parents let their kids watch this they are to blame!!! And what the heck has BnB got to do with the kids programs at 6 PM, for example Power rangers?
OK, kids shouldn't watch brutal programs, but why do they have to show something the kids never get to see just because the parents who have happened to see BnB think their kids *could* get some idea from this (adult program). They are messing everything up as usual when they discuss children and violence!
