Well, I guess I'll have to defend the cat & dog again.....
Ren and Stimpy is a hilarious show. Just watch them, you might actually like it. The first season (Just like B&B) was great, having such classics as "Stimpy's Invention" and "Space Madness."
I'll be the first to admit that as soon as they fired the show's creator, John K., The whole show just started to blow dog. Crap like Stimpy dressing in...well, a dress replaced Ren shouting "What ees it, Man???"
But which would you rather have? An HOUR of Singled Out, "Beard Boys" and "Held Back," or Ren and Stimpy? And look, it IS only temporary. They're not going to sack Beavis and Butt-Head. Not yet. Just give R&S a chance.
