What can the Simpsons do that B&B can't?

I have been watching the Simpsons lately and saw where they can show fire in there episodes but B&B can't. Can somebody please explain??

The Simpsons, more importantly the Fox network weren't sued or threatened by a lawsuit by some idiot whose kid burned down the trailer he lived in and blamed it on the show... supposedly, that kid didnt even have cable TV. To my knowledge, this is when and why B&B were edited and censored... MTV was afraid of a lawsuit or something because some kid was imitating what they heard or saw on MTV's B&B. They also stopped the 7pm airings of the show around the same time, and only aired it at 11pm or later from that on, aside from the Butt-Bowls and after the movie came out. This is all just what I think I know... I don't have any sources to quote from off-hand.

They _show_ fire on B&B, they (B&B) just don't say it very often after that incident. Ever see the HenryRollins Liar video on B&B? That's one that I think makes it clear that Mike Judge was not happy about the censorship MTV was imposing... as well as the "Why Did I Move to Southern California" (I think?) video by a band I can't recall off-hand. It's the one where a dude runs down a street... completely engilfed in flames. All beavis can do is watch in awe... and then he forgets that he just saw the "coolest video in the world" when BH smacks the crap out of him...
