The answer to whether or not Beavis and Butt-head are gay

So you want to know the truth? Is Beavis gay? Is Butt-head straight? Read on.....

You know it makes me sick when people get on here and use every single piece of evidence they can find to prove that Beavis and Butt-head are gay. Perhaps they are. But seriously, who cares?

Dr Emma Roids gave a lovely, somewhat Freudian speech, on how Beavis and Butt-head are gay. Well don't tell us to DEAL WITH IT! Get a life. I cannot emphasise enough that Beavis and Butt-head do not really exist, therefore cannot be in any way sexually inclined, and all this "Are B&B gay?" stuff is driving everyone nuts. I mean sure, Gay Cartoons R Us spends a lot of time analysing the homosexual tendencies of a lot of characters and that's okay because that's GCRU's interpretation. But saying they ARE or THEY AREN'T and thinking that you're right is stupid.

It's like seeing a number of therapists, all of them will interpret you a different way. Jung said that a successful psychoanalyst must invent a new type of therapy for every different patient. People are open to different interpretations. We cannot say that Beavis and Butt-head are gay or are straight as a definite conclusion. We may have our opinions about them, but we will never know because Beavis and Butt-head do not exist! Yes, that's right, they're cartoons! Basically this entire argument isn't worth arguing about, have your opinion, but don't enforce it on other people.

I'd expect Dr. Roids, being a doctor and everything, to at least have the intelligence to realise that you cannot make assumptions from 10 little signs and conclude they're gay. Those are NOT facts. Perhaps Beavis and Butt-head fight over the remote control because they like TV. I doubt Butt-head chose his name. They go to the bathroom to take dumps. But the stupidest one was:

Sure, you can read an interview and because Mike Judge said something, you can think that Beavis and Butt-head are or are not gay. But that may not have been what he meant. How would you know anyway. you're not Mike Judge.

You know after so long, isn't it time this newsgroup moved on from that subject. Don't stop having your opinion about them, but don't try to change other people's minds. I think there is something better to talk about than whether or not Beavis and Butt-head are gay. It's a waste of time. They're cartoons.

Yes, we can. Just compare the number of people who think B&B are gay with the number of those who think they are not. From what I see, the first group is a minority, so they have to keep yelling, reminding others about their perception.

This is basically what I was trying to say with my post.. Though my opinion on the matter was stated clearly. Keep in mind, it would be just as unfunny and silly for me to run around all the time saying they AREN'T gay. Ok, we have CGRS, and that to me is enough. It's in moderation, it doesn't start flame wars, and he says a lot of cool stuff besides. GCRS is cool. Constant flame wars about this topic are not.
