Well, tigger *IS* cool, but Eeyore is the coolest motherfucker in the 1000 acre forest or whatever. I mean, he's like, the original slacker and stuff. And you know he's smokin' bud all the time...

"Some really cool lyric"

--Some Cool Band

Eeyore fuckin' rules. While all of the other other yahoos are having their little "tea party" with Christopher Robin, Eeyore is sitting back, doing a bong, cranking up the Zoogz Rift on his headphones, and feeling the buuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrn.

What a cool donkey.

Brilliant, just brilliant

I mean, he's like, the original slacker

Thanks for your charming comments, but we would like to keep this "kid safe". That means you should stay in school so you can develop a vocabulary that extends beyond the nonsense and obscenities posted.

You mean that Eeyore rocks BIG TIME! well cool! becuse if he has a tv and a radio with sun glasses that would rock!!! wow! cool! love alek ! no stupid pepole in my club! stu and ptu and ztu and ftu and atu and pooh bare!

Yes...it's true....Eyore was the coolest slacker on God's earth

Even before Shaggy of Scooby Doo fame, Eyore was kicking it and smoking

it.. and getting down.

I heard that Eyore was asked to join the Grateful Dead once, but he had

to turn it down - it would have cut into his bong time..

This thread is annoying and is everywhere on the fucking net. Go the fuck away. This is a shame to the memory of Christopher Robin. Keep it away from places where it is irrelevant.

Hi, gang, just deleting RSPW from the followup list so as to get rid of this stupid thread.

Feel free to continue with your fascinating discussion elsewhere. First name Scott, last name Keith. Don't make me say it again. Wherever you go, there you are. (Wisdom of Mike Brady) "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!" Steve Austin

Eeyore is off limits. He rules. Flame all the rest of them if you like, but Eeyore's good name and distinctive world view is not to be sullied. Eeyore talked Zoogz Rift out of setting fire to the Hundred Acre Wood, and helped him find religion. Eeyore is off limits. He rules.

Ooh, there's a graphic idea. A picture of the baby Jesus, with words from a later part of his life: "This is my flesh; eat of this...."

Give us a break. It's the 100 Acre Wood, and no, he wasn't a slacker. I'm sure Milne would be horrified to see one of his characters discussed this way.

Do me the favor of showing me where in ANY of the books, it says that Eeyore was smokin' some. <shakes head> I never thought Pooh would interest the alternative crowd. Leave him alone to those of us who really love him.

Yet, isn't it the nature of a true classic to reinvent itself, as it were, successively for each and every reading of each and every reader? What of the rich intertextuality each of us brings to everything we read? Do you really expect a benighted net.idiot such as myself to inform my reading of "Winnie Ille Pu" with the same wealth of associations, experiences, and general acculturation which you undoubtedly bring to the story? Milne would be horrified to see *a lot* of the things which go on today; but in presenting his work for publication (and realizing a rather tidy sum from so doing), he relinquished it into a world in which its readers--no matter how tenuous a grasp on literacy some of us possess-- are implicitly empowered to recreate both sign and sender in what amounts to our own image.

I have often felt that if you scratched Zoogz Rift (pretty deeply; he's rather obese) you would find our Eeyore in his heart, alienated and alone, saying "Thanks for noticing me." I know for a fact that Zoogz would rather punch me in the mouth than admit to his Eeyoreness. Now that you know that someone like me is an Eeyoreophile, you probably want to vomit. As the French say, chacun a` son gou^t.

I really love Eeyore. I enjoy his personality, I admire his Weltanschauung, I adore the way in which he balances out the cloying joie de vivre of the other members of the Milne menagerie. I am well into my third decade of devotion to Eeyore and all that he stands for. And no, I don't believe Eeyore would take illicit drugs.

But if there's one thing I despise, Karin, it's a net.cop. You use big words and your grammar is impeccable. This shows you to be an Eeyorian of considerable intelligence. And so I ask you, in the name of eOR, not to provoke that which is best ignored and/or left alone.

One thing I feel that i should add to this-we all love pooh and pooh characters, but do we really need the obscenities? There are younger kids that read this newsgroup and it should maintain a family-style content. I for one am utterly horrified and gravely offended by the harsh, barbaric language used by some of the more recent posters to the group. Why can't we just be polite? It's not a difficult concept to grasp, I promise-I don't use that type of language and I'm doing just fine, if not better.

There. I hope that my excision of bad words helped. I agree that it is out of place in a group devoted to A. A. Milne's characters. While I am not really fond of Pooh or any of the other characters, I will see to it that anyone who disrespects Eeyore will come to regret it greatly.
