OK... I saw all four hours of the moron-a-thon. I was much impressed. The first hour, they showed cool episodes ONLY. First, they showed "No Laughing", which hasn't seen the screen for weeks. I'll never get tired of the Buzzcut scene. They also showed "Home Improvement". I can't believe that episode got past the censors, as it had once before a few weeks back. "Let's prune some power lines!"
During the first hour, I noted a Butthole Surfers video that was not in the episode before.
The next couple hours were somewhat hazy... I remember "Plate Frisbee", "The Crush", "The Trial", and "Politically Correct"... average at best episodes.
During the last hour, before the All-New Episode for which we had to sacrifice many goats, I saw Comedians. I haven't seen this one since the F*r* Ban, and for good reason. They sliced and diced and julienned this episode into a handful of curly fries! They drew a newspaper where a l*ght*r once was, making the part about juggling totally irrelevent and confusing to the newcomers, and they cut the end scene altogether. However, during a Belly video, Butthead asked Beavis what his hand was doing in his pocket, and Beavis said "I'm looking for my l*ght*r!" right there in plain sight! I can't wait until they re-release "Scientific SGuff" and "Stewart's House".
And finally, I saw the All-New Episode. When I saw the title, "Most Wanted", I almost thought that this was going to be the ATM-robbing episode ("The Trial" has already been shown.) Then I saw a totally different episode. They weren't afraid to take their time on the non-video parts, and I'm somewhat glad, because the videos ALL sucked. Not so much the videos themselves, but most of the time they just looked at the screen and went "uhhhhh...." I wanted to scream, "Change it! Change it!", but I knew it would do no good. The only high point was very brief. "Look at the nads on that pig!". Heh. Most of the rest of the time, they just sat, stared, laughed, and went "uhhhh..." (We should invent a verb that means to go "uhhh...")
The non-video parts were pretty good, though. Classic quotes: "What are you, some kind of butt ventriloquist?" "I'm gonna get a tattoo of a butt, with a butt-shaped tattoo on it, and I'm going to put it right on my butt!" "Ehhhh, he is doing tattoos of derriers with derrier-shaped tattoos on them, on their derriers..."
I have a feeling that Beavis's "voices" said something else before he told MTV about them????
Conclusion: The All-New Episode was good, but they should have made it 15 minutes and took out all the videos except the pig's nads one, and put another All-New Episode in. Maybe we didn't sacrifice enough goats for two episodes? But, you know, I can't help but get the feeling that Mike Judge didn't have ANYTHING to do with this episode. The non-video bit was somewhat different, and those guys didn't know how to do videos.
