This blows! I read one of the B&B episode guides and can't believe how much they toned down past episodes, let alone the fact we'll never see some of them again! Does anyone have a full set of the unedited shows on tape, especially the complete version of "Way Down Mexico Way"?

There's one circulating copy of "DMW" Part 2 that must be 10th generation, all smudgy and jumpy video (audio seems OK). There are also two version of "Comedians." I know one person somewhere does have a tape of the complete version, with the flaming newspape landing up in the rafters of the building. For some reason, they showed one version without this scene, but wih Beavis lighting the paper. There's also one stupid version of "Right On" where "Gus" (Rush" says, "Get these little HOODLUMS out of here!" I think it was shown only once. --DGP
I have copies of all the banned/edited episodes. If anyone wants copies, email me. They aren't the *best* quality, but not too bad. If anyone has better quality copies and would like to trade for something, please email me.

As most of you know, MTV has bowed to pressure, and censored all scenes of Beavis lighting cigarettes, and virtually all fire or drug references. Most of the early episodes are edited. Several have been banned altogether.
What pisses me off is the double-standard: restrictrions are placed on B&B that are NOT placed on old movies on the Family Channel!
If we have to shield kids from the sight of a cigarette lighter being flicked, why isn't anyone demanding that all cigarette-smoking scenes be removed from "The Maltese Falcoln"?
And, since MTV banned an entire episode that had B&B blowing up Stewart's kitchen, there should also be an uproar against the 1932 Laurel & Hardy film, "Helpmates," in which Stan burned down Ollie's whole house.
There is also a problem with B&B cartoons that depict animal cruelty. Oddly, there has been no outcry against the animal cruelty depicted in other animated cartoons, such as Tom & Jerry or the Road Runner.
"Drug" scenes have also been eliminated from B&B, including B&B sniffing paint thinner. AFAIK, there's been no talk of cutting all the drinking scenes from "Cheers."
If you're going to censor Beavis & Butt-head, apply the same rules to everyone else!
Then again, maybe MTV should have responded to the B&B complainers by telling them all to go fuck themselves.

Yeah, it really sucks. But all the parents say that kids are more likely to follow what cartoons do than in old movies. But, again you have to remember that little incident with the kids that made them put up the "Beavis and Butthead are not role models, they're no even......" warning. That really added cendorship. So! Once again the world must be censored because little bubba is too stupid to know that you shouldn't burn the house down! That sucks!
The parents of little bubba should do one of the following things:
A] Sit down with the little bastard and tell him, "FIRE BAD!" B] Take away the remote control so he cann't watch shows that he cann't understand. C] Cancel the household cable. D] Take away bubba's lighter, matches, and any sharp objects he might stick in any part of his body. E] All of the above.
