Nobody's signed up fer Andersonfest '98 yet! C'mon, now, there's gotta be some guys out there who could use a little male companionship... Aww, dammit, you KNOW what I mean! I'm just talkin' about a get-together with some beer and some cards, and a little barbecuin'! And no - I repeat - NO funny stuff! This is fer regular guys, who like women, beer, women, power tools, guns and women. Ya got me, good buddy? So don't go gettin' any crazy ideas about Andersonfest! So far, we got a good ol' fashioned cookout planned, plus a bowlin' tournament, an exhibition of military memorabilia, some poker and if y'all bring yer ridin mowers and yer RV's and camper trailers, we'll have a show fer them, too. Remember, first prize is a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a stuffed deer head, so make sure you shine them hubcaps real good! Remember, now, it's in October at the Muncie VFW Hall. Odd Fellows, Lions, Eagles, Elks, Rotarians and of course Veterans of Foreign Wars get in fer half price. Shriners and Masons can come, too, but they gotta keep contol of themselves. Contact either me or ol' John Thomas about accomodations. We can maybe still get a group rate at the Holiday Inn... Well, that's about it. Just wanted to remind you fellas about it. It's the event of the year, not to be missed, heh heh... See y'all in October!
Andersonfest '98 #2
Ya know, back when I was in the service, we used to have these kind of get-togethers all the time, and there was always some smart-aleck who'd try somethin' funny with the soap. Course that was before we ha these here micro-wave ovens and electric can openers and a lot of funny gizmos and you could understand the words when people sang....

Well, there ain't gonna be no communal showerin' at Andersonfest '98. Now, I'm sure we all got fond memories o' them days back in the service, but this here's civilian life and, well, when civilian guys take a shower together it's, uh, what's the word? Weird. I know what you're sayin' about this rock and roll noise, though. All that yammerin' an' screamin...yeah, buddy, give me the Mills Brothers any day. Now them ol boys knew what singin' was...

Well, when they're in a combat situation, men just naturally turn to each other for comfort. Aww, dammit, you know what I mean. I mean emotional support, not whatever kinda weird carryin' on you got in mind... o' course back then, the word "gay" meant "happy" or "carefree", and an "ass bandit" was a guy who stole your donkey... Course, that was before cable tv and unleaded gas and virtual reality and liver transplants and call waiting and automatic teller machines and fat-free cottage cheese and magnetic resonance imaging and plastic underpants and transistor radios and intergalactic space travel and them home-hair-cut things you attach to yer vacuum cleaner.
uhuh yeh eheh *in the foxholes* ehehehehehe
