B&BH Frequently Assed Questions, V. 2.1

Two phrases that people are or have been disscussing are "homeowner" and "getting medieval on your ass." I think homeowner isn't used anymore since MTV thinks it's offensive. Although I swear when VanDriessen and Mr. Manners are fighting in the end of "Manners Suck",one of them calls the other a faggot. Listen for that next time you watch the episode!

We HAVE to close this thread up. That's what FAQs are for,after all. This thread has been hanging around for too long, and since no one has come up with a definite answer, we have to settle for west Texas or east New Mexico.

Two characters that could be added: Clark Cobb (as mentioned before) and Socko, and also, the Spanish teacher. We don't know anything about him, but he's always popping and he's had some great lines. (i.e. The bits in "No Laughing" and "Great Cornholio" were great!)

I think sooner or later we ought to do something about this. Flooding MTV's AOL mailboxes just doesn't work anymore. Does ANYBODY have any idea on what we could do about this?

Nothing. And believe me, I have tried. When I had an account on AOL I wrote to them many times, but never got a reply. Same thing goes for the old email addresses at mtv.com. It is obvious that the writers of the show are none too happy about being censored by MTV (notice how Beavis now chants words that sound like fire, i.e. "liar", "fryer" etc.), but MTV *owns* the show and they can do what they want with it. The thing they could do would be to go to another network, but the problem is MTV probably paid so much fucking money that they can do pretty much anything they want with the show. It was excellent when it first started, but then the corporations stepped in and the advertisers and it looked like MTV would get bad publicity due to some threats of lawsuits, so they tamed B&B down. Now it is just boring. If I see "Top O' The Mountain" or the "Beaverly Buttbillies" one more time, I am taking hostages! The problem is the real B&B fans consist of a minority, while everybody else is just cashing in on the B&B phenomena. They were good before they became a marketing gimmick, but then again that is what seems to happen to every good idea. It gets raped and worn out until it is no longer recognizable. I.E. Ren & Stimpy.

I am really amazed that in the four or five months I've been on this group, no drone from MTV has gotten on here ONCE. Considering that this group generates 50-100 posts a day here, and considering how fanatic a lot of us are as B&B fans, AND considering that MTV is trying to paint themselves as so hip and into the "Information Superhighway"...why the hell don't we see any representation on here from MTV?

(Maybe it's because they know the reception they'd get, since they're a bunch of censoring greedy wussies?)

As for MJ, I really hope he reads the newsgroup, since I heard he has an AOL account (or at least he did once). I doubt it, but one can dream.

Never mind the fact that they had a nice little site, MTV.COM, run by Adam Curry, that could have easily been expanded to suit their needs.

Remember, whenever they put something new on, look for the dollar signs. They had Jerky Boys ads for about a month or so, then WHAM! the movie hits. See, they are only in it for the money.

Next thing we know Mt. MTV will be tied in with some new skiing/winter action flick and it'll disappear after the movie dies. Oh! How about the Flintstones crap back when the movie was coming out?

I bet we'll see some Brady Bunch crap soon too.

Watch it for B&B, LTV, and the occasional non-suck video. The rest of the time, mute it out and/or find something else to do.

That started a while ago. MTV and Nickelodeon are both owned by that Viacom conglomerate. This means they are related to the Brady Bunch's movie company. I've seen quite a few adds for the Brady Bunch movie during B&BH. And just guess what sit-com Nickelodian is running a marothon of all this week? Also, when I signed on to AOL the other day guess what was being promoted on the introductory screen? It was the "Nickelodian Area" where you could download pics. and sounds of the Brady's.

That's true with Ren & Stimpy, since Kricfalusi was kicked out. However, that's not really B&BH's case, since Mike Judge still has creative power over B&BH. I also think (and I'm probably going to get flamed for this) that the banning (as much as I hate it, and trust me, I do!) helped the show in a way, since the writers were forced to come up with something different for episodes other than them just breaking and burning stuff. For example, I think Beavis wouldn't have gotten as much attention , like with Cornholio and Choke. I think now will be the perfect time for the fire and stuff to come back. Unfortunately, it won't.
