This is something I first wrote and posted on the E-Town Electronics Billboard, later posted again on alt.video.dvd but it really belongs here. For those of you unfamiliar with DVD (a CD sized disc that plays high quality video and audio) an explanation is provided at the end of the review. Now on with the original post, asswipe!

Um...there's like these new thingies. Cool! Let me see the thingies! No, buttwipe, I mean like thingies for your television. I think they're called like D...V...D...or something. They like make your TV look cooler so it like doesn't suck as much. Yeah, I heard about those thingies. Shut up, fartknocker! I'll kick the crap out of you just like I did on the Christmas one. Oh, yeah....heh...heh...I remember, Butthead. Sorry! Just shut up, dumbass, these like DVD thingies have us on them so we can, like make money to buy porno magazines and nachos and stuff if people buy them. So, there's like, uh, no videos on The Final Judgment one. So it doesn't suck as much. And, like, there's this new thing for your ears called like 5.1 but our DVD's are only,,,huh,,,huh,,,huh,,,Number Two! Huh...huh...huh...Number Two! Heh...heh...heh...heh...heh...But the color is like, really cool so we look like cool except for Beavis cause he's such a buttmunch. Oh, yeah. Like we forgot to say something about the features and stuff. It's all, like English, with no printed words, which is cool, cause words suck! And, like, no other languages and stuff except for...um..Spanish...when Beavis says Burrito Supreme. And like no widescreen which is cool I guess....cause, usually, when I don't know what stuff is, it usually turns out to suck. And like, no menus, either, except for the one at Burger World. But you might like want to eat someplace else anyway cause we like to pee on the grill and watch the steam rise. That rules! So now, you like know all about our DVD's, so like go out and like...buy some...or we'll kick your ass...or something.

Explanation of terms for those unfamiliar with DVD:

5.1 is Dolby Digital Surround Sound Encoded, much the same way a first rate movie is shown in a first rate theater. When Beavis says Number Two, he means the B & B DVD's are regular stereo. No printed words refers to captions or subtitles which DVD can display as an option. No subtitles or captions are included in the two B & B DVD's available so far, "The Final Judgment" and "Beavis And Butt-Head Do Christmas". The Spanish reference refers to multiple soundtrack languages, which DVD is also capable of. The B & B DVD's are English only, but of course our boys think "Rico Suave" and "Burrito Supreme" are actually Spanish words. Widescreen refers to the 16x9 aspect ratio most DVD's can display. This is like watching a stretched out version of your regular television set, closer to the way you actually see a movie in a theater. Most TV's use a 4x3 aspect ratio, which is what all of B & B's adventures were made in. Widescreen is not to be confused with bigscreen, which generally refers to front and rear projection televisions. Menu is the nerve center of a DVD where all of its special features can be accessed as well as chapters, etc. (similar to going to the song you want on a CD). Not all DVD's have menus, the B & B ones don't, but of course there is one at Burger World, a bit incomplete because the flying food specialties are not listed.

That's it! Hope you enjoyed the post and learned something about DVD if you were unfamiliar with the format. Later, fartknockers!
