Here's the best way to deal with those "meowers" and other mass cross-posting trolls.
Post a reply by removing alt.tv.beavis-n-butthead from the newsgroups line so the meowers can continue their thread without it being posted here in a.t.b-n-b. Make sure you go with whatever flow the thread is going in without flaming anyone or other bad replys, otherwise they may get suspicious of what is going on. Hope this works.
