ok, man. I'm not going to post a binary here again. .This is one of the few that I know of that you can't post binaries to, as i just found out. this sucks.and i just deleted the picture of beavis gettin' it on with two chix. that would have been a cool post(huhhuh, he said post!!!).

The problem isn't the wussys who can't download stuff off newsgroups. It's people who don't realize that it is a breach of netiquette and a waste of bandwidth (and money for some) to post binaries to discussion newsgroups. In fact, most Internet providers consider it a violation of their terms of service to do so.

That's why there is a hierarchy of alt.binaries.* newsgroups where people can post these large files and people can choose to download these high-bandwidth files. A lot of people have to pay per minute or hour to download particular newsgroups and most folks expect discussion posts to be on discussion newsgroups and binaries to be in the alt.binaries.* newsgroups.

It is annoying as a veteran Internet user to see newbies who don't know what the hell they are doing jump head-first into newsgroups before reading a FAQ or even taking some time to learn the "lay of the land" before blindly posting whatever the hell they have the inkling to post.

If you or the person who posted this .wav would have read the FAQ before shooting off your virtual mouth, you would have realized this was a wrong thing to do.

I am also a net-vet. I know what i am doing.It is not a violation of terms with sprynet to upload to newsgroups.
