At least I have the guts to use my real name when posting to this newsgroup -- good or bad.

If I remember right, you also flooded this newsgroup with binary files recently.

In light of our last two binary buttknockers this week, a couple of things to remind folks:

1) Binaries are not welcome on this newsgroup, as they aren't on most discussion newsgroups. Most folks don't like them here; most news server bosses don't either. Discussion newsgroups have been DROPPED by news admins because of excessive binary content.

2) If folks want to share binaries with the folks in this newsgroup, please post them to the appropriate alt.binaries.* newsgroup, then post a message pointing us there. And, please don't flood that newsgroup by using too small a cut size like the last two people. 900 lines is not an appropriate cut size for large binary files -- they don't arrive complete and flood the newsgroup unnecessarily.

Just remember the net and USENET have always centered on policing ourselves -- and not the attitude of "fuck you -- I'll do what I want".

It is very sad that there are very few discussion articles today in a.t.v.b.n.b that actually deal with Beavis and Butt-head -- between mis-posted binaries, spammers, and other off-topic crap.
