Christ references

I wonder if Mike Judge is a Christian. In two separate episodes, Butthead says that a guy in a video looks like Jesus. Beavis replies: "Yeah. Christ is cool." Or maybe it's a sop to the fundies who want BnB banned. Ban BnB! Ban DnD! Ban CnC! (music factory). I agree with the last one.

Another favorite BnB moment: They are watching a video by Bjork, the wiggy chick from the Sugarcubes. Beavis: "What's this video about?" Butthead: "Uhhh...it's about drama club chicks." I was ROTF!

Not being the religeous type, I find the references to "Yeah. Christ is cool." about as mild and harmless as anything I have ever heard.....IMHO. talk about not being pushy:-)

I'm really dissapointed that, in this entire trend, no one has mentioned that "the guy" that B&B are referring to is Chris Cornell(sp?) of Soundgarden.

It's also ironic that on one of their songs off Badmotorfinger (I forget which) there is a mockery of those stupid "pull-the-string-and-I-talk" baby toys, saying "The rooster says... Cock-a-doodle-doo", then saying "The Devil says..." just as Chris starts singing. I say don't read religion into much, as it counts for so little.
