In reference to the Kris/Kross Mac Daddy/Daddy Mac thing, please answer this (possibly naive) question.

Who (or what) the hell are Mac Daddy and Daddy Mac? I love the sound of it but I'd like to know what I'm saying when I say it. And is it true that they could kick Axl's ass?

If I wanted to read, I'd go to school... so please keep your answers short.

Craig.

The term is mac daddy. I believe it is a black thing meaning a very cool person. Eddie Murphy used the term in Boomerang to describe himself to one of the black chicks.

I doubt Kris Kross could kick Axl's ass physically or musically.

chris.

But remember, Kris Kross, even though they're only 12 or 13 years old, are two guys. Plus, Axel's kinda scrawny.

Speaking of ass-kicking, Didn't BnB say that Glen Danzig could kick someone's ass? I thought that someone was also Axel, but no one seems to mention it. My favorite ass-kicking quote is when BnB said either Ice Cube or Ice T could New Kids on the Block's ass. My roommate and I agreed that that would be cool, and that we'd probably be willing to pay to see it.

I bet that guy in Danzig could _kick_ _Axl's_ _ass_.

^^^^^^ Yeh, Tony from _Who's The Boss_ could kick Axl's ass. Heh heh heh

Shut up fartnocker, she said Danzig, not Danza.

You calling me a liar?

No, I'm calling you a waste of bum wipe.

Actually, it is a black term that dates back to the 70s movie "The Mack." It denotes a hustler/pimp/player/gangsta/"cool person" etc. I'm not sure where the Daddy part came in, probably from pimps calling themselves "Big Daddy" "The Daddy" etc. Put them together, you have the Mack Daddy, the ultimate hustler/pimp/player/gangsta. Daddy Mack is the same thing. Sir Mix A-Lot's newest album is called "Mack Daddy"

Axl Rose is a weak asshole. IMHO, Kris Kross WILL kick his ass musically. Now that they've hit puberty and don't sound like little kids anymore, their music sounds a whole lot better. Plus it has BASS. As for physically kicking his ass, give 'em a few more years, they're only about 14 now, when they hit 16 or 17, they could easily kick his ass. Look at Axl, he's a toothpick. No muscle on him at all. I'm sorry, but drugs and alcohol usually yield atrophied muscle.

Sure. And the moon is made of blue cheese. Right.

Well, it couldn't get any worse.

Did I miss something? Did Duff get kicked out of GnR?

Is that one at a time, or together?

You don't necessarily need muscle to fight well...

"Mack Daddy" comes from the French word for pimp, "macaquaree", I believe. Please forgive me if I messed up the spelling of a French word -- I haven't studied the language yet and I don't have a dictionary at the office.

Sir Mix is way cool! I'm suprised that B-n-B haven't watched "Baby Got Back" yet.

I wish MTV would play more of his Sir Mix's music.

"One Time", of course, is gangsta slag for a cop.

When Butthead says "Which one is Mac Daddy", or whatever, the only thing he is referring to is what Kriss Kross call themselves. One is Mac Daddy and one is Daddy Mac.

Exactly. Beavis says, "duh, which one is Kris, and, uhh, which one is, like, Kros?" And Butthead replies, "that's easy: Kris is the 'Mac Daddy', and Kros is the 'Daddy Mac.'" To which Beavis replies, "Oh. Uhh, uhh, so, do you think the Daddy Mac could kick Axl's butt?" (IMO, this is a sly one: one of Kris Kros is bigger than the other. I think Beavis is still trying to figure out which one is which, since he thinks Butthead knows.) Anyway, Butthead replies, "Uhh, hmmm, I think they could both kick Axl's butt." And Beavis says, "Yeah, Axl's a wuss."

Or something like this. -- This is from memory.

So, nobody cares whether the term "Mack Daddy" came from French for pimp.

And furthermore, Axl is not spelled "Axel."

ObBnBQuote: (Watching a Debi Gibson video.) Butthead: "What is this? Is this a Clearisil commercial? This sucks." Beavis: "Yeah, this super sucks."

Walk a few blocks off campus, and ask any of the friendly people standing on street corners.

Wouldn't it be cool if some gang-banger kicked this USC-guy's ass? Yeah, that'd be cool!

And yes, Kris Kross probably could kick Axel's ass.

anyone know what video this is? it's the one with the rainbows and clouds and the band looks like a bunch of chicks (are these girls? i don't know, but they're giving me a woodrow). the funniest part is when butthead tells beavis to 'have a nice day'.

The video is "Fly High Michelle" by Enuff Z'Nuff.

Glam rock just isn't what it used to be Beavis.
