Well...the time has come to unleash some sweet video onto the net. I have made dubs for friends of mine, now I am bringing this tape to the net. I have in my possession a 6hour and 5minute tape of Beavis and Butthead episodes, newsclips, and videos, that has no annoying commercials and seamless edits from clip to clip.

Call your favorite fartknockers over to your house and have your own "moron-a-thon"!!!

Don't let that sorry cable station decide, when and what you are pre-determined to watch.

Here is a listing of what is on the tape:

Tape #1 (yes, I have others like this, this is the first)

Length: 6hours and 5 minutes, approximately
Format: VHS-ep mode
Source: SVHS satelite masters taped during first airing
from that so-called music television station.
Almost all episodes contain no censorship.
							  All episodes are in English.

NO COMMERCIALS at all. Seamless edits.

OKAY...so you want to obtain this tape. We can do this a few ways. One, you can meet me somewhere in the Los Angeles area and I will personally sell it to you. Two, you can offer me another video that I would find interesting (I have varied interests). Or, three, you can send me $25 and I'll ship you a video copy via UPS, 2nd day air. Let me remind you that countless hours in front of a VCR were spent making this tape.

We can discuss further details via email. I read the newsgroup, but not that often. I'm using a hotmail account and would like to keep this hush-hush because there are some legal parties that won't agree with what I'm doing. Kapeesh?

Email me and we'll work something out. I assure you that this is totally legit (legit as it can be) and I'm not out to rip anyone off. I've always wanted to be able to watch BnB without annoying commercials and time constraints

Have you informed MTV's lawyers that you're selling their show and not compensating the network, or do you assume that it's all right with them?

Dumbass.

Anyway... basically it goes like this. MTV shows precious little of Beavis and Butt-head as it is right now, but they have realized that they can make money off of it. Given the quality of the other programming on their network, there existence is pretty chancy as it is right now.

MTV owns virtually exclusive rights to Beavis and Butt-head. Mike Judge just get paid pretty much just for his services and sometimes he makes side-deals etc. for the use of his talents. Mike Judge will probably only continue to work for MTV if they continue to pay him lots of money. Besides he's got King of the Hill and probably other shows to work on, so he probably rather not bother with Beavis & Butt-head anymore.

So, for MTV/Viacom to make more Beavis and Butt-head shows and other product, they have to make lots and lots of money to make up for all the other turkeys like Daria, Choad Fools, Shingled Grout, The Real World, Buzz Swill, etc, etc, etc.

So if you want Beavis and Butt-head to go off the air, or be only seen in movies every 2 or 3 years, then go ahead pirate all the episodes and rip Mike Judge and Viacom off. I think this sort of stuff is only morally defensible for the shows that MTV no longer airs because of their moronic wussy self-censorship.

Sir Spanks-A-Lot of Buttland

Yeah. I've always wanted one.

Um, no. I heard that Mike Judge re-nad-goat-shitted his contract, and now he owns the rights to them. I just rented the newest tape called "Law Abiding Citizens" And it seemed quite different than the rest of them. Especially the opening copyright thingies. And I think it said something about the copyright of Beavis and Butthead being owned by Mike Judge.

They should just start playing more cool videos. Stop with the crappy shows, and cut down on all the Alternitive crap they play on there. Play something cool.

Maybee I don't understand your logic. I could see your point if it was a movie, or something that was sold in the stores. That might constitute ripping them off. Butt, according to a 1985 law (This is just for the US as far as I know) When a TV program is played on the air, it is perfectly legal to record it, and pass it along to friends, as long as it is not altered, or charged for. That IS the law. It was a Supreme Court ruling. Look it up. Recording stuff off the air is not pirating. Recording tapes like you would get at the store and selling them, etc might be, but not TV recording. (At least in my country) Besides, how do you figure that they would lose money? They don't sell the episodes. (except for a few select ones at the video store) The only place you can see them other than that would be MTV. I think most poeple who are B&B fans have a large collection of them recorded off the TV onto tapes. And they all would still watch them when they come on TV. How, then do you figure that they would get "ripped off"? As I mentioned before, they would lose no money, because they were never sold. Just broadcasted over cable. Now, of course you have to get cable (or satalite) to get MTV, but if you were recording them, you would obviously have it, would you not? That is why I don't see how you figure they could be losing money.

Well, I agree that MTV are a bunch of wussy, politicly-correct, liberal, big-brother loving, hippie dumbasses. But not about the recording stuff.

No argument. MTV buttknockers are you listening? Listen to Mike Judge, play something cool! You suck, change yourself.

Uhhhh... it does say COMMERCIAL FREE B&B and this person is trying to SELL it.

Uhhh... I have about 6 tapes of about 8 choads each which I paid about $12 for each of them. If you edit the comercials out and sell them, they lose advertising revenue.

This constitutes a lost opportunity for a sale or ad revenue. MTV is NOT broadcast over the air. Every time you pay your cable bill, some money goes to MTV from that bill as I recall, AND on top of that they advertise. There is no such thing as FREE cable. When you pay for cable, you pay for it for your own use, so it's not legal to record the content and pass it to a friend for money. I doubt that even if you gave it away for free that it is strickly legal, though plenty of people do-it (heh heh... I do-it all the time).

Eh eh, the MTV: David van Driessen slacker network. Some show go over to NYC and kick all of their wussy asses.

you

I know this. In fact, I mentioned it earlier.

True.

Depends on the station and the show. But definently not paying for the show, only for the tape.

Actually, This I know for a fact. It is a 1985 ruling. (for the U.S. mind you) It IS legal, if provided at no fee.

Yeah. heh heh heh

Uh, you buttknocker. I think the law is something like, recording stuff that's broadcasted is like leagal of something. And if oyu aren't charging for the material, and are only charging for the tape, it's legal. Um, or something. Although I could be wrong. heh heh heh.

Uhhh... I've like, got an idea!

Maybe I'll, like, record a bunch of shows off TV, and then like, sell them for a thousand dollars each. If the cops come and bust me, I'll say, like, "Uh... I'm like just charging for the tape.. it like, was bought in Bev-er-Lay Hills or something. Like, this Tron dude said that this is legal, and I'm like, a citizen."

This is gonna be cool!

Uhhhh, no. That's just what I heard, buttknocker. I have no idea if it's true. Now go get me some nachos, or I'll kick your ass! heh heh heh.
