When the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip first came out, all my relatives called me up to tell me that Calvin acts exactly like I did when I was six.
Now, all my friends have called me up and told me that they saw me (as a teenager) on Beavis and Butthead. (I'm not sure whether I'm flattered or insulted.)
So, for all those assholes who criticize Calvin and Hobbes and Beavis and Butthead for being bad examples, we can say that:
Calvin at six grows up to be Beavis or Butthead at seventeen.
Beavis and Butthead grow up to get undergraduate degrees in Telecommunications (because broadband and satellite communications definitley do NOT suck) and then they get their Masters in Managing Information Systems because being the boss is cool and being told what to do by loser project managers sucks.
Huh, huh, huh .... huhuhuhuhuhuuh.
Calvin at six, Beavis and/or Butthead at seventeen, and Bill Bruns at twenty seven.
