No more FIRE! (was Re: B&B on NOW tonight)

I just finished watching that "Now" with Katie Couric and Tom Brokaw on which they had the segment about BnB and the recent uproar concerning the fires, etc.

The worst news: instead of moving BnB to a late timeslot, as suggested my Mike Judge, MTV has decided on stricter censorship. This includes "no more references to fire." AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGG!!!

This sucks!!!!

MTV sucks!!!

They also did not mention the fact that the one lady didn't even have cable, etc.

On the other hand, they had a couple critics who thought the show was great.

That Zimmerman guy was also on (the guy with the BnB hotline, trying to get them off the air). On the promo clip at the beginning of the show, they had him berating the duo, then they cut to a quick clip of BnB with Butthead saying "what a dork." Huh, huh, that was cool...

But no more FIRE...

I say, put it on a later time slot, uncensored, or put it on HBO or something!!!!!!!!!!!

Time to start a crusade!

I saw an ad this morning for this evening's episode of Now on NBC. (It's a newsy type of show starring Katie "Can I Be Your Friend?" Couric and "I Passed a" Stone Phillips.) Apparently they will do a segment on B&B.

If B&B could respond to Katie's "intense" questioning, what do you think they'd say?????

People suck. They blame anything that was their own stupid fault, on the forms of communication(TV, Music, etc.). The NOW show said that B-n-B will no longer have reference to FIRE, FIRE, FIRE in the shows. This is about the stupidest thing to come about in a very long time. Fourty percent of eMpTyV's viewers watch B-n-B and now eMpTyV is going to be pussy like and bow to pressure.

I wish there was some way to write Mike and tell him to get his show off of a pussy channel and to somewhere else that will play the show.

I agree.. I think MTV ought to drop B&B at 7pm and just show uncut episodes at 11pm!! It really shouldn't be on that early.. Plus.. Parents ought to exercize more control over what their Kids watch! B&B is NOT a kids cartoon.. Just because it's a cartoon, doesn't mean it's for kids!!

No need for alarm - we get it at 11PM out here on the west coast as well (we see most stuff delayed so it's shown at the same time as it is on the east coast). They need to have two sets of episodes - normal, uncut ones at 11PM and "wuss" shows at 7PM to keep us and Mtv happy.

Yes, now most channels have "time delay" so you see it later. This was not always the case - we used to get the comedy channel with no delay. It was a real pain - if you saw an ad for something on at 8, you'd have to remember to watch at 5. Made the schedule they showed on tv annoying.

On "The Simpsons" last night, Homer set the house on fire while trying to burn his diploma. I guess that's the end of that show....

What is with the god damn entertainment in USA? Why are all the cool, ground breaking shows(well, almost all) canned? Remember the hilarious Howard Stern show? It was one of the very fews that made me laugh. And of course, it got canned after 4 months I was into it. Now Beavis has been RAPED where he is unable to make references to fire. C'mon. Fire occupies approxomately 64% of his mind and imagination. And now this? And then Joel Hodgson is planning on leaving mystery science theater 3000.

Isn't this the case with EVERYTHING new/novel/unique in America? First B&B has a cult following, then B&B gets main-stream publicity, then B&B is commercilized/sanitized/martinized.... until it is so squeeky clean you would consider taking the boys home with you to meet your 16-year-old daughter. Our only hope is Mike Judge will (1) tell them to fuck off and/or (2) will come out with a new outrageous concept line to eventually replace B&B when they die a lumbering, bloated death. I agree there is no reason to put some of this stuff on at 7pm; lets face it, B&B isn't for kids, it is for those of us so far beyond redemption it doesn't matter anymore. BUT, since we channel surf until 3am why not leave the 11pm time slot and can the 7pm slot to appease the self-rightous right? HUH? whats that? disposal income of 14-year-olds is HOW MUCH? Oh yeah, advertizing $$ talks. Sorry, momentary lapse of reason. (Scary part is we identify with B&B because we KNOW those kids, gave birth to 'em, met 'em, taught 'em, ordered burgers from 'em, sic our dogs on 'em, etc....)
