Gee! That sucked. But what should one expect when quality continues to fall.

To tell you the truth it was Citizen Butthead, maybe good the first or second time it was on. Other than that it was quite lame. I could have watched the Super Bowl half time show, but uh, it was a bunch of country singers. And since they wouldn't been about beer or women they would suck!!! If you didn't see the half time show, you didn't miss much.
I am still shocked and disappointed at what happened during the half-time
show. MTV made a real big thing about how everyone should watch their
Butt Bowl during halftime. So I did. What a huge let down. I could see
Citizen Butthead anytime. Why would they play this during the biggest
television event of the year?! I was hoping that a new episode related
to the Super Bowl was going to be played. And to pour some salt into the
wounds, MTV's countdown to the 2nd half was about 5 minutes too long.
Luckily, I didn't miss any of the 3rd quarter because I had changed the
channel back to NBC out of complete disgust.
MTV really let everyone down on this one. I still don't understand why
they made such a big deal out of the Butt Bowl, and then ended up showing
Citizen Butthead. What gives?! These guys piss me off more and more
every day.
What were they thinking?
They were thinking "It sucks that those fat cats paid us all this money, now we have to do all this stuff to kill off Beavis and Butt-Head".
Do you honestly think MTV, Mike Judge, r ANYONE who gave a fuck about the show (in a positive way) would let this happen? NO. It's the fat cats who are taking our rights away by doing this.
They WANT us to abandon them, by commercializing them and stagnating their production until they lose popularity and die on their own, so no one suspects outside influence! They expect us to just think "they sold out..." and just leave them. It is working.
Do they not suck now? The biggest thing since Wayne's World, and they show a rerun during the Super Bowl? Are we not beginning to show contempt against the show? Has the show not been so obviously chopped up that we are starting to dislike them just for that?
Ponder this for a while.... perhaps we can do something about it. Perhaps the government is involved. Who knows, they might have even killed Mike Judge. OK, maybe not... but there is an evil, mega-conservative force behind this whole thing. If they succeed, they will do this to anything that both we find entertaining and they find threatening in the slightest bit. Soon television will be nothing but sitcoms and news programs.
Recently in Phoenix, a public station broadcasting Playboy channel on channel 25, scrambled, was pressured to drop their Playboy programming by this Anti-Entertainment League. In the news, people complained about the channel because you could hear things. Now UHF channel 25 broadcasts a very low quality home shopping channel...
I agree 100%. The show has gone DOWNhill bigtime. As the old fart in 'Jurassic Park' said, "It's got to be the blood-sucking lawyers". Something is going on at MTV, I wish I knew what it was. If I was Judge, I would probably be so pissed off that I wouldn't give a shit what happened to the show anymore, it is just not worth fighting the fat cats and the lawyers anymore. I wrote to Beavis, Butthead, and Programming at MTV.COM yesterday about this, hoping they would read it and not just send some lame-o stock answer, nothing yet, we will see...
Funny, here in Denver, they just cancelled the Playboy channel today, to be replaced by another HBO-clone. What the hell is going on with society today?

I agree completely about everyon'e disappointment regarding the B&B superbowl halftime. It was an insult to everyone. I honestly do not know what the MTV execs were thinking. How hard could it be to have made a special for what someone else rightfully called biggest television event of the year?
MTV must have lost a lot of credibility for this poor stunt, not only from lotal B&B fans, but people who figured they'd give B&B a chance for the first time. This is poor; very poor. I'd even argue that it's more disappointing than pulling the 7pm show and watering it down.
Didn't someone post an internet address for MTV?. Or at the very least, does anyone know the real mail address? I think that if you're the least bit disgusted, you should be as vocal as hell and let them know.
